INJECTING A BIT OF NATURE & ART INTO THE OLD KENT ROAD

A permanent splash of culture and a touch of nature have landed at The Bottle Factory – our home for makers, creatives and urban industry stalwarts in a restored Victorian warehouse, tucked away off the Old Kent Road.

Thanks to our friends at Creative Debuts, artist Luke Smile has created a new mural that brings the ethos of the campus and its creative community to life. Luke’s work is bold, playful and full of character – something that makes people pause, smile and look again.

Alongside the mural, two Pryus trees and planting has been added in planters made from reclaimed sheet piling – a fitting tribute to The Bottle Factory and Old Kent Road’s industrial past.

Projects like this are about small moments that add up – supporting artists, improving shared spaces, making room for nature and shaping places to feel welcoming, bright and more human.

The building blocks for a place where good things can happen – art, culture, community and nature.
