The Binary Yard

We were delighted to open up The Binary Yard for XLP Youth Charity’s ‘Girls Summer Programme’ mocktail and dinner celebration.

The afternoon was the final event of a week-long programme aimed at arming a group of young women with the skills and experience to navigate their way through adolescence successfully and into womanhood – with a mix of activities from safety and relationship workshops and self-defence classes, through to pamper sessions and belly dancing!

XLP is a youth work charity that works with some of London’s most disadvantaged young people, with a focus on creating positive futures for 11-18 year olds growing up in inner-city communities across the capital.

The young people the charity works with may struggle daily with issues such as family breakdown, unemployment and educational failure, and living in areas that experience high levels of anti-social behaviour and gang violence.

XLP helps thousands fulfil their potential each year and believes that positive, long-term relationships can restore a young person’s trust in people, nurture the belief that things can change, encourage them to set positive goals, and work hard to achieve them.
