We’re thrilled to welcome Helen Newman to the Fabrix team as Director of Sustainable Investing – a critical new hire given we’ve always had Sustainable Investment at the forefront of our approach.
A leader and advocate of sustainable development and responsible investment with over 20 years experience, Helen was formerly Head of Sustainable Capital at CBRE, where she worked across the Capital Markets business, specialising in structuring sustainability performance targets for green real estate loans and developing sustainable finance frameworks.
Prior to that she was Head of Sustainability at CBRE Advisory, where she oversaw ESG services across real estate portfolios totalling over £23bn AUM.
Helen’s new role will put the voice of sustainability firmly at the highest level in our decision-making. She’ll drive sustainable impact right across the business, steering corporate ambition, fund-wide and asset-specific holistic strategies and disclosure.
Our Future of Work, Sustainable Communities and Industrial Outdoor Storage (IOS) strategies will all benefit from her expertise in climate adaptation and resilience, whole life carbon and building performance, circular economy, wellbeing, biodiversity and green infrastructure.
And most importantly of all, she’ll ensure we keep pushing ourselves and others to drive the industry-leading change that’s so desperately needed to address the Climate Emergency.
“I am passionate about creating a built environment that supports healthy and equitable communities, and addresses the climate and biodiversity crisis, so I’m delighted to join the purposeful and ambitious team at Fabrix, where sustainable development is foundational to the business ethos. As an investor and developer, their actions and projects reflect a deep understanding of the fact that sustainable development and social impact are moral imperatives.”
